Come to a zine-making workshop and help produce a pro-choice zine in 2 hours!

The Abortion Rights Campaign is creating a zine about choice – which will be the first of many.

Email your submission to [email protected] by 28th April. The workshop takes place on 30th April in Seomra Spraoi.

We are looking for submissions on any pro-choice ideas you may have – this could be an article, drawing, story or something else.

Here’s a list of ideas to get you going – or post up other ideas you think might be interesting:

– Comic strip of step-by-step abortion journey
– Spotlight on…. (interesting pro-choice projects e.g. Derry)
– Pro-choice groups map
– Poems of women’s journeys
– Profile of female activist
– Lowdown on a contraceptive
– Fact A Day image that Design Group are making.
– Photos from 10 days of Action
– BPAS telephone advice dialogue given by helpline woman
– Liverpool being main recommended abortion stop for Irish women because of proximity to airport.
– Lowdown on a contraceptive
– Older historical recipes/remedies for women – witch hazel, parsley, etc.

The workshop will be a mixture of cutting, pasting, photocopying, writing, drawing and many other things. All ages, skills and ideas welcome.

If you can’t attend the workshop, your submissions and ideas are still very welcome – we want to publish your stuff 🙂
