An all Island weekend of Abortion Rights Action!

The Abortion Rights Campaign [ARC] have joined with Pro-Choice groups from across Ireland and Northern Ireland to organise a series of events which observe the Global Day of Action for safe and legal access to abortion.  Join us on September 28th (#Sept28) for Ireland’s second annual “March For Choice!” – an opportunity for us to show the world that our Island is Proud to be Pro-Choice!

Choosing Choice: Packing Up Stigma Exhibition features photographic works from ‘Against the Tide’ by Rose Comiskey (Ireland), ‘When They Hold Their Hands Out Like Scales’ by Emma Campbell (Northern Ireland) and digitised print works from ‘Good Women Have Abortions’ by Heather Ault (USA) with curatorial support by Jennette Donnelly.

Doctors for Choice Ireland: ‘Being a Pro-Choice Doctor in Ireland’

Many doctors in Ireland are pro-choice but have little opportunity to meet like minded colleagues. This results in doctors being isolated and often silent about their opinions and experience. Doctors For Choice are a holding a conference which aims to address the experience of being a pro choice doctor in Ireland.

For those who are tired after a good days marching, or those who can’t make it  – Dublin Nights for Choice are holding a ‘March for Choice’ after party in Toners Pub on Baggot st, directly after the march!

Alliance for Choice Belfast: September 28 Day Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion

In Northern Ireland access is often illegal and other options are prohibitively expensive, against a backdrop of non-progressive governance and religious conservatism. Alliance for Choice plans to inform women about the options currently available to them – until they can effect a change in the current restrictive legislation.
