Ailbhe is also an academic\, feminist and lesbian activist. She was a founding director of the Women’s Education\, Resource and Research Centre (WERRC)\, \nWith a referendum due to take place in 2018\, the coalition is now calling on those who are interested in campaigning for a repeal of the eight amendment to attend the open meeting.

A referendum to repeal the Eighth is FINALLY coming\, and now is the time to get talking to your friends and family to secure their support. \nThis workshop will help you to figure out how to raise the topic\, navigate tricky questions\, and give you a chance to ask questions you’re unsure of. \nLondon-Irish Abortion Rights Campaign are hosting two short workshops in Central London on the evening of Monday December 11th in groups of 20. \nThe workshops will be delivered by Mairead Enright\, a law lecturer who has been active in the campaign to repeal the Eighth amendment and has recently published a book on repeal. The workshops will aim to prepare you with the information and confidence to discuss repeal openly and confidently and help to win some votes over Christmas. \nMairead is an expert at navigating those tricky questions and with her background in teaching\, is an ideal person to deliver these workshops. \nThese workshops are open to everyone. There is no charge for attending; there will be a donations bowl for Abortion Support Network.

DESCRIPTION:Flea for Choice is a pop-up flea market in aid of the Abortion Rights Campaign. So far they have raised approx €1.5k\, thanks to all their brilliant vendors and everybody else’s donations.  \nThis time is right for the Christmas edition\, taking place on Saturday 9th December in the Workman’s Club\, Wellington Quay (enter through Bison Bar).  \nHow it works: \n∙ It costs €30 to rent a stall\, the entriety of which goes to ARC. Any income vendors receive is for them to keep unless they wish to make a further donation.\n∙ As well\, the suggested entry donation is €1. \nThere are so many stellar vendors lined-up including The HunReal Issuesand the Abortion Rights Campaign. You can expect to find a variety of goods perfect for Christmas gifts\, like handmaid jewellery\, graphic tees\, prints\, zines\, badges\, tile art\, totes\, second-hand and vintage clothing\, original pro-choice merch and lots and lots of surprises! \nIf you have any queries you can email fleaforchoice@gmail.com. \nLooking forward to seeing you all there!
