SUMMARY:4th Annual March for Choice
DESCRIPTION:The 4th Annual March for Choice will take place in Dublin on Saturday September 26th marking the Global Day of Action for Access to Safe and Legal Abortion. \nThe landslide vote for Marriage Equality and the passage of the Gender Recognition Bill earlier this year\, demonstrates clearly\, the huge appetite for change and progress in this country. This will be the last March for Choice before the next general election\, so we must make it clear – securing our vote will mean making a commitment to Repeal the 8th amendment\, so that we can take a step closer to securing free\, safe and legal access to abortion in Ireland. \n\nThe March will kick off at 2 pm in Dublin at the Garden of Remembrance (assembling from 1.30pm)\, and like last year\, we are asking that you bring a wheelie case if possible to make the effort and sound of travel abundantly clear!

DESCRIPTION:Join ARC and our fabulous party cohosts Re(al) Productive Health in The Complex after the March for Choice this year for activities\, food\, music\, performances\, and a SpeakOut! From immediately after the March with Tea\, Coffee\, and Cakes for Choice you’ll be able to hang out with other amazing pro-choice people and activists in The Complex on Little Green St. (just off Capel St.\, around the corner from Outhouse!)\n  \n  \nPro-Choice Chill-out zone: Music\, Cake\, Exhibitions\, and More!\nFrom 16:00 – 18:00: come rest your weary feet in the Complex\, where we’ll have food\, tea\, cake\, comfy couches\, music\, exhihibtions\, and activities. Take a photo in the #NotAVessel photobooth and have the craic with pro-choice allies!\n\n  \nSpeak for Choice: Abortion Speak Out \n\nFrom 18:00 – 19:45 Speak for Choice aims to normalise the topic of abortion and celebrate its honest discussion\, all within a safe environment that privileges sharing not debate. You can Speak Out here about personal experience of abortion\, or of personal experiences in pro-choice activism. The event will provide a safe space to speak out and articulate your experiences and views as we celebrate how individuals have expressed their protest of the 8th Amendment and how networks of support and activism have formed. You are invited to share your personal anecdotes\, essays\, music\, artwork and short films about your abortion and your pro-choice activism on the night. \n  \nYou are welcome to send digital images\, music files and short films (under 20 minutes) in advance to speakforchoice2015@gmail.com so we can show them during the Speak Out. Proposals for live performances can also be submitted to this email address by midnight on Thursday 24th September for consideration.\n \n  \nSpoken Word and Music for Choice!\nFrom 20:00 there will be performances featuring the indomitable pro-choice performance group Speaking of I.M.E.L.D.A and the amazing spoken word collective PETTYCASH. Stay on to enjoy live music featuring Sissy and Fierce Mild!\n  \nWe’ll have a wine reception\, spectacular nibbles\, and all the tea you can handle!\nJoin us on Saturday 26th after the March for Choice\, all welcome!
