Abortion Rights Campaign invite you to participate in 10 Days of Abortion Rights Action, from 1st-10th March 2013

Abortion Rights Campaign announce 10 days of action demanding the government bring in X Case legislation before the Dáil is out for Summer.

During this 10 day period, thousands of postcards will be distributed physically and online around the country which the public will be urged to sign and return to their government representatives at Dáil Éireann. The message on the postcards will call for legislation in line with the 1992 Supreme Court Ruling on the X Case and make provisions for abortion access in Ireland for those whose lives are threatened by suicide.

These postcards will be distributed from street stalls and at a number of actions and events as part of a 10 day programme supporting abortion rights. You are invited to host your own street stall or event and feature it in a national programme – here is how;

1. Send us information about an abortion rights action or event you have already planned during this period around International Women’s Day for inclusion in the programme publicity- online and in print.
2. Look at the listed events in our calendar and if you like, choose additional actions or events you would like to collaborate on, then let us know to include it in the programme publicity.
3. Contact us to access resources for running actions or events in this programme in your area (ie. films for screening, resources for street stalls , viewing party guide etc). Then let us know how you’d like us to feature you in the programme publicity.

We are encouraging anything and everything from film screenings to pro-choice Mother’s Day gift making! Whatever you have planned, make sure to get in touch with us to arrange delivery of postcards to you for distribution at your event/action.
